International delivery terms (Incoterms® 2020)
The delivery term defines exactly where cost and risk transfer from Linox to the buyer. We quote against any of the terms below.
Any mode of transport
EXW
Ex Works
Goods are made available at our premises. The buyer arranges all transport, export clearance and risk from that point.
FCA
Free Carrier
We deliver the goods, export cleared, to the carrier nominated by the buyer at the named place.
CPT
Carriage Paid To
We pay carriage to the named destination; risk transfers when the goods reach the first carrier.
CIP
Carriage and Insurance Paid To
As CPT, with all-risks cargo insurance arranged by us up to the named destination.
DAP
Delivered At Place
We deliver the goods ready for unloading at the named destination; import clearance stays with the buyer.
DPU
Delivered At Place Unloaded
We deliver and unload the goods at the named destination; import clearance stays with the buyer.
DDP
Delivered Duty Paid
We deliver the goods cleared for import, with all duties and taxes paid, at the named destination.
Sea & inland waterway only
FOB
Free On Board
We deliver the goods on board the vessel at the named port of shipment; risk transfers once loaded.
CFR
Cost and Freight
We pay the freight to the named destination port, but risk transfers to the buyer once the goods are on board.
CIF
Cost, Insurance and Freight
As CFR, with minimum marine insurance arranged by us for the buyer’s benefit.
